Marvellous Tapera (Convener)

Marvellous Tapera is the founder and Managing Director of Tax Matrix (Pvt) Ltd. He has extensive experience in the field of taxation, accounting and broad knowledge of Zimbabwean and international tax laws. He has specialist knowledge and experience in Mining, Insurance, Telecommunication, Manufacturing and Agricultural sectors among others. He was previously engaged as a consultant by the Government of Zimbabwe to craft the insurance tax legislation and capacity building through tax training to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Officers. He is the author of six books on taxation law in Zimbabwe which are a key resource for investors, taxpayers, tax administrators, tax advisors and professional students. Marvellous holds an MBA (UZ), is a member of the Institute of Certified Tax Accountants (ICTA) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS). He is also a registered Tax Practitioner with the Public Accountant and Auditors Board (PAAB).


David Masaya

David is an Associate Director with PriceWaterHouseCoopers (Zimbabwe) and has spent most of his professional life dealing with the taxation of corporations and individuals in Zimbabwe. He originally trained in taxation with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority where he spent the early years of his career before joining PriceWaterHouseCoopers.He is an Associate member of the Institute of Certified Tax Accountants of Zimbabwe and an ACCA affiliate.


Christina Muzerengi

Christina Muzerengi is a  Partner – Tax and Advisory Services of Grant Thornton since September 2012, a position she holds to date. She joined Grant Thornton in April 2005 as a Manager responsible for Tax. Christina is a Registered Tax Accountant and an Associate member of the Institute of Certified Tax Accountants. She has more than a decade of experience in Taxation, part of which was with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority. Besides extensive knowledge in tax, Christina has a combination of other skills in business advisory services, corporate governance, human resources and administration.


Keith Engel

Keith Engel is the Chief Executive Officer for the South African Institute of Tax Professionals. As part of his core duties managing the Institute, he is heavily engaged in tax at a policy, legislative and interpretative level (e.g., with National Treasury, Parliament, SARS, the Davis Tax Committee and the private sector). His role also includes presentations and participation in regional African tax issues. Outside of the institute, he regularly teaches at the University of Johannesburg and is an honorary adjunct professor at the University of Cape Town, North Western University and Rhodes University. Keith is well known for his leading role at National Treasury in the formulation of tax legislation from 2000 to 2013.


Constance Mutunhu

Connie Mutunhu is the Managing Director of CMA. She is an Ex- Partner of Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe, served as an Executive Director of a bank until taking early retirement in April 2013. She sits on several boards and currently chairs two boards: Childline Zimbabwe and Almin Metal Industries Limited. She has served on a Regional Board in South Africa as well as an International Board in the United Kingdom. She sits on the Seedco Zimbabwe board as well.


Johannes Muchada

Johannes Muchada is a registered Legal Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience in legal practice. He is partner of Messers Dube, Manikai & Hwacha Legal Practitioners (DMH Commercial Law Chambers) and heads the tax division of the firm. He holds an Honours Degree in Law and an Advanced Diploma Transfer Pricing He specializes in tax, corporate and commercial law and he has been involved in diverse tax advisory, tax dispute resolution and litigation in all the courts in Zimbabwe.


Marcus Botha

Marcus Botha is a Director with BDO Tax Services (Pty) Ltd and the Head of Corporate Tax. He was previously the South African Leader of Tax Reporting & Strategy at PwC and Head of Tax Risk at Nedbank. He has extensive experience in tax policy and administration, tax strategy, tax management and control frameworks, and tax governance and enterprise risk management. Marcus specialises in providing assurance on tax to governing boards, audit committees, boards and management teams and he assisted various clients with the management and reporting of tax risk.


Max Ngorima

Max Ngorima is a Tax Director with BDO Tax and Advisory Services, an associate firm of  BDO Zimbabwe CA (Z). He has 35 years experience in taxation. He joined BDO in 1998, after leaving the Tax Department as an Assistant Commissioner in charge of tax investigations and also worked as a tax consultant with a private sector group of companies. He is a member of the Tax and Legal Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and also Vice President of the Institute of the Certified Tax Accountants.Max Ngorima is also a lecturer and examiner in Taxation.


Ronald T Gumbo

MBA finalist (Solusi), ACIS

Qualified as an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Secretaries in 1996; Working on my Thesis for the Solusi MBA programme. Worked for the Tax Department for 13 years up to February 1997 and was with the Investigations department then. Joined Innscor Africa Limited as the Group Tax Officer and am in my 19th year with the group.


Manyara Chigunduru

Manyara Chigunduru, a qualified chartered accountant (Zimbabwe) is the managing partner of Marianhill Chartered Accountants, an accounting and auditing firm registered with the Public Auditors and Accountants Board (PAAB), which offers a bouquet of services which include external and internal auditing, ICT audits, accounting advisory, forensic audits and tax advisory. She also leads the financial advisory services offering of the firm that majors in corporate finance, project finance, Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and agribusiness advisory. Manyara is a 2017 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur having been amongst the selected 1000 entrepreneurs for 2017 out of 93 000 applications across Africa.


Eve Gadzikwa

Dr Eve Gadzikwa  is the President of African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO 2016-2019) and the  Director General of Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ since 2008).She has over 25 years work experience. She is a passionate “stem” professional (microbiologist) & business leader. Dr Eve has proven track record in standards, corporate governance and leadership. She is an author of “I dare you to lead”- 2015, the founder of mentorship for success program, a certified coach practitioner and chairman of campus community foundation. Super brand vice chair.
